Role Description
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, updating, and monitoring project schedules using appropriate planning tools, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and project objectives. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to gather progress data, analyze variances, and prepare regular reports on schedule performance. The role includes leading production planning activities, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying risks, delays, and recovery plans to keep projects on track. The Senior Planning Engineer will also contribute to project control processes by supporting cost and time forecasting, participating in progress meetings, and ensuring accurate documentation of planning-related information.
Qualifications
· Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills to develop, manage, and optimize project schedules and resource usage.
· Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Project Control capabilities to analyze performance, forecast outcomes, and support corrective actions.
· Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present planning reports.
· Relevant experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role in construction or engineering projects, preferably in Dubai or the GCC region.
· Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office tools.
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract requirements, and industry standards.
· Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
