Key Responsibilities
· Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in accordance with project requirements.
· Prepare baseline programs, detailed work schedules, and short-term / look-ahead programmes.
· Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks.
· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and project stakeholders.
· Analyze project performance and recommend corrective and recovery actions where required.
· Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely project delivery.
· Review contractor programs, progress updates, and recovery programmes.
· Track project milestones, critical paths, resources, procurement, and construction activities.
· Prepare progress measurement and evaluate actual versus planned progress.
· Assist in the preparation and review of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
· Maintain accurate project records and support project controls and reporting requirements.
· Participate in project progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
· Identify potential program risks and delays and develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
· Coordinate planning activities across design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover stages.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
· 5+ years of relevant experience in construction or real estate development projects.
· Proven experience as a Planning Engineer on medium to large-scale construction projects.
· Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls.
· Excellent proficiency in Primavera P6.
· Good knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Excel.
· Ability to develop and analyze detailed construction programs.
· Experience in preparing EOT claims, recovery programmes, and schedule impact analysis is highly desirable.
· Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
· Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
· Must be in Oman.
