Buro Happold is seeking an experienced and highly skilled GIS Specialist to join the Tuwaiq Reserve Project Core Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will serve as the GIS Lead and primary geospatial subject matter expert (SME) for the project.
You will provide strategic guidance on all GIS and spatial data matters, acting as the key point of contact between the Client and the Buro Happold Core Team. Your responsibilities will include performing advanced spatial analyses to inform planning decisions, developing and optimizing geospatial workflows and models, and overseeing spatial data management to ensure integrity and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle. You will also utilize GIS tools to digitize spatial data and create high-quality visualizations to support the project's mapping needs.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
· Experience: Significant years of experience in a GIS role, preferably within large-scale environmental or urban planning projects. A proven track record in delivering major GIS projects in planning, environment, mobility, and infrastructure is required.
· Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of ESRI, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, AutoCAD, and FME. Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R, SQL) for GIS automation is essential. Experience with database management (SQL Server or PostgreSQL) and handling large geospatial datasets is required.
· Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
