Role Description
The Surveyor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting site surveys, taking precise measurements, and preparing layout drawings to support façade design, fabrication, and installation activities.
Daily tasks include verifying site dimensions, checking levels and alignments, coordinating with project engineers and site supervisors, and ensuring that survey data aligns with design specifications and shop drawings.
The Surveyor will document survey results, maintain accurate records, and provide updates to project teams to support planning, scheduling, and quality control. The role also involves adherence to safety standards, participation in site meetings, and proactive identification of discrepancies or potential issues.
Qualifications
· Strong technical surveying skills, including use of total stations, GPS, laser measuring devices, and other relevant instruments.
· Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, including curtain wall, cladding, and structural layouts.
· Proficiency in survey-related software and basic CAD tools; familiarity with construction documentation and reporting.
· Knowledge of construction processes, façade systems, and site measurement practices within building projects.
· Attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and capability to produce accurate measurements and records.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
· Basic understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to construction sites and survey activities.
· Relevant technical diploma or degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a Surveyor in façade or construction projects is preferred.
· Willingness to work on-site, adapt to changing project needs, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
